NA Chairwoman meets Can Tho voters

VNHN - Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA), Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and NA deputies from Can Tho held a meeting with more than 200 local voters in An Phu ward, Ninh Kieu district, on November 26, after the 14th NA's sixth session.

The NA leader informed voters on the outcomes of the NA's sixth session, noting that the session fulfilled the entire set agenda.

She affirmed that the sixth session took place in a responsible and democratic environment with many important contents, including the election of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong as the new President of Vietnam, the approval of the proposal by the Prime Minister regarding members of the cabinet, the approval of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), as well as law building.

She also briefed voters on several new points and the key contents of the nine laws adopted by the NA at the recently concluded session.

The NA Chairwoman spoke highly of the opinions given by local voters and cleared up their questions on the development orientation for the Mekong Delta region as well as the policies towards national contributors, needy and disadvantaged people, job creation, and environmental pollution settlement.

Voters also raised their voice with regards to anti-corruption, health insurance, food safety, education, and infrastructure development for the region, which were also made clear by the local authorities.

Voters also expressed their confidence in the NA, saying that NA operations were improved at the sixth session with much progress in law building./.
